Teslar’s Account Executive is responsible for driving and managing leads from our Business Development team while also building their pipeline and helping the team drive opportunities to successful close. Responsible for net-new sales, and upsells, to financial institutions with the overall goal of driving the expansion of Teslar within the marketplace. The Account Executive will effectively be able to manage customer’s needs and determining whether Teslar Software can meet those needs. This includes overseeing the entire sales process including initial contact, demo, additional discovery meetings, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive opportunities through qualification and closure while maintaining a pipeline sufficient to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Building and maintaining long-term business relations with customers.
  • Manage a complex sales cycle with new customers by mapping out decision-making and approval processes, compressing timelines, negotiating contracts, and closing business.
  • Challenge prospective clients to consider a new innovative solution.
  • Help drive a strong brand presence within the industry.
  • Use consultative approach to identify client needs and use knowledge of Teslar product solutions to fulfil those needs.
  • Communicating with customers to identify their requirements and effectively mapping those requirements to product offerings.
  • Work effectively with BDRs, inside sales, and marketing to drive a consistent message in the marketplace.
  • Communicating with clients and other departments to ensure smooth transition and hand off between the various stages of the customer journey.
  • Assisting the team with promotional campaigns and marketing offers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2 years of proven work experience as an Account Executive, or a similar role in the Sales industry.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and competitive with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful experience in either Community Banking sales, or selling applicable fintech SaaS solutions, involving a complex sales cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge executive decision makers, build consensus with client executives, and sell to the C-suite.
  • Strong listening skills and impeccable verbal and written communication ability; able to demonstrate software solutions onsite with client or via virtual meetings.
  • History of success in collaborative work environment; demonstrable ability to partner with other team members including cross functionally from product, sales, product, client success, support, finance, and others as required to accomplish sales goals and customer success.
  • Ability to travel to client locations within the United States as required to accomplish and exceed goals.
