We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design and develop high-quality microservices for our payment processing system with strong expertise in Java and Spring Framework, along with experience in reactive programming and cloud services.
You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Description
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design and develop high-quality microservices for our payment processing system with strong expertise in Java and Spring Framework, along with experience in reactive programming and cloud services.
You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for new features using asynchronous event-driven communication
- Develop microservices compliant with coding standards and HCP regulations
- Implement reactive programming solutions
- Work with Postgres, Redis and Git
- Collaborate with software developers/engineers to ensure development follows established processes
- Analyze, investigate, provide explanations/interpretations within area of expertise
- Ensure code quality through unit testing
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 5+ years of experience in Java and Spring Framework
- 5+ years of experience working with reactive programming, microservices architecture and unit testing
- 3+ years of practical experience working with Azure cloud services / any cloud provider
- Strong analytical skills for investigating issues
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ability to adapt to changing business environments
