Position Summary:
The Landscape Foreman is responsible for supervising a crew of landscape technicians to complete installations and maintenance projects efficiently, safely, and to specification. This hands-on leadership role requires technical knowledge, strong communication, and a passion for producing quality landscape work.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead 2–6 crew members on landscaping installation and/or maintenance projects
- Read and interpret landscape plans, site layouts, and project specifications
- Operate and maintain a variety of landscape equipment (e.g., skid steers, mowers, trenchers)
- Ensure proper plant installation, grading, irrigation, sod, hardscape, and other project components
- Manage time, materials, and labor to stay on schedule and within budget
- Conduct daily jobsite safety checks and enforce safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and suppliers
- Train and mentor crew members to build skills and improve performance
- 3+ years of experience in landscaping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction and/or maintenance practices
- Ability to read landscape designs and layout projects on site
- Skilled in the use of landscape tools, machinery, and equipment
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic
