This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm local time. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
We offer 1-2 weeks of classroom training. The hours during training will be 8:00am - 4:30pm CST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the intake of members or denial notifications and denial process
- Work with patients, insurance companies and the clinical team to manage the appeal process
- Manage denial notification tasks, submission/follow up with patients and insurance companies, Sharepoint, moving patient through workflow
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to work 7:00am - 7:00pm local time, Monday to Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends
- Ability to work required overtime during peak season (January-February)
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Outbound calls experience to insurance companies
- Authorization experience
- Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
- Clerical or administrative support background
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
- All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
