Director of Coaching — Soccer Shots Southwest Chicagoland

Location: Southwest Suburbs - Orland Park, Lockport, New Lenox, Frankfort and surround areas

Hours: 20-25 hours/week (weekdays & weekends)

Pay: $22-$25 per hour, depending on experience. $20 per hour while training

Soccer Shots is a nationally recognized youth soccer program focused on developing character, confidence, and coordination in kids ages 2–9. Through creative, high-energy sessions taught by passionate coaches, we’re on a mission to make a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve.

About The Role

We're hiring a Part-Time Director of Coaching to join our leadership team! This is a hands-on role for a dynamic, people-oriented individual who thrives in both coaching and leading. You’ll directly coach weekly sessions, train and support new coaches, and help expand our programming—especially our public programs and Soccer Shots Recreational League.

What You’ll Do

Coaching & Leadership

  • Deliver high-quality, energetic Soccer Shots sessions across multiple age groups, 2-9 year olds.
  • Serve as a role model and set the coaching standard across all programs

Coach Development & Hiring

  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor new coaches
  • Teach and train coaches on Soccer Shots curriculum
  • Conduct on-site evaluations and ongoing coach support to maintain program excellence

Program Growth & Quality

  • Ensure program consistency, safety, and fun in all sessions
  • Provide feedback and Soccer Shots curriculum support to coaching staff
  • Troubleshoot site issues and support day-to-day logistics

Public Program & League Expansion

  • Lead the growth of our public programs and Soccer Shots Recreational League
  • Build community relationships and assist in marketing/outreach
  • Coordinate logistics and staffing for league play and weekend programming

Qualifications

  • Experience in youth sports, early childhood education, or coaching
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Passion for child development through sport
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Soccer background (playing or coaching)
