The Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) Regional Manager works

under the RS Pre-ETS Statewide Program Administrator and is responsible

to supervise 5 Pre-ETS Transition Specialists and to plan, implement and

manage the Pre-ETS services and activities of an assigned geographic

region.

Pre-ETS is an initiative of the vocational rehabilitation program, a

program of Rehabilitation Services in the Kansas Department for Children

and Families. Pre-ETS is a new program requirement of the Rehabilitation

Act of 1973, as amended by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

The Pre-ETS Regional Manager will supervise field staff located

throughout their assigned region who provide the 5 required Pre-ETS

services, the Pre-ETS optional services, conduct outreach activities for

school personnel, students with disabilities, and family members, and

who will participate in development of transition IEPs as appropriate.

The Pre-ETS Regional Manager will implement plans for the Pre-ETS

program in their assigned region as directed by the RS Program

Administrator, evaluate the transition specialists work and take

corrective actions as needed to ensure effective services, activities

and outcomes. The Pre-ETS Regional Manager will establish, maintain and

utilize collaborative relationships with school district personnel,

local workforce development youth programs, service providers and

advocates as needed to ensure preferred outcomes for Pre-ETS eligible
