Seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in county behavioral health contracts, special treatment unit agreements, or long-term care managed care contracts.

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, the Contracts Manager will oversee contract submission, review, editing, and final drafts of various contract types. This role will support General Counsel and various members of the Senior Leadership team in managing and executing various legal documents. The Contracts Manager role will, as necessary, support administrative projects and needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage contract coordination, from intake, review, and execution.
  • Populate and manage contract databases, (e.g., organizing and uploading finalized contracts, managing system issues).
  • Supports contract template revisions and special contract projects as needed and manages internal tracking and reporting of contract-related metrics.
  • Review, redline and bring to execution various contracts needed by the field and Support Center.
  • Prepare reports of finalized contracts at month-end.
  • Facilitates internal and external audit requests received by department.
  • Review and maintain various legal documents as requested.
  • Provide general support to General Counsel.
  • May be requested to obtain/maintain a notary license and will be asked to do minimal travel to obtain signatures and provide notary services for the company.

Education, Experience, Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a corporate environment required.
  • Experience in law or business office working with contracts or legal services preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with Behavioral Health County Contracts or Long Term Care, Managed Care Contracts preferred.
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; web-based applications and internet research.
  • Excellent organizational skills including ability to develop and implement processes for organizing and tracking records and other data as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and take directions from multiple sources.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and resolution capability.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents and associated correspondence.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to write professional reports, minutes, and/or business correspondence.
  • Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision (once trained) on a high volume of work with a variety of projects.
  • Strong sense of urgency and efficiency in a highly visible fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to communicate successfully with all levels of management.
  • Flexibility in order to meet changing needs and deadlines.
  • This position requires the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
