Position Title: Director of Procurement
Business Unit: Finance
Reports to: CFO FNB Corp
Position Overview
The Director of Procurement oversees purchasing operations, ensuring strategic sourcing and procurement processes are efficient and cost-effective. This role leads vendor relationships, mitigates third-party risks, and ensures compliance with regulations and company policies. Serving as the primary liaison with a key strategic technology vendor, the director leverages banking, legal, and tech expertise to manage engagements, balance resources, and provide executive-level communications.
Primary Responsibilities
Design and execute procurement strategies to enhance sourcing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Lead purchasing operations, ensuring compliance with policies, contract documentation accuracy, timelines, and budgets. Drive cost savings, quality improvements, and continuous enhancement initiatives. Build strong supplier relationships to align procurement practices with company objectives.
Oversee vendor selection, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes to ensure the company's needs are met effectively. Build long-term strategic partnerships with key vendors, identifying opportunities for collaboration and innovation. Develop and maintain clear, effective communication channels between vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
Serve as the primary liaison between the bank and strategic vendors, fostering strong relationships and ensuring compliance with contracts and SLAs. Track and consolidate vendor-related issues, projects, and initiatives. Coordinate internal resources to optimize task prioritization. Facilitate issue resolution and oversee timely project completion to support operational efficiency.
Lead third-party risk management efforts by identifying and mitigating risks associated with vendor relationships, including financial, operational, and reputational risks. Implement and maintain a robust third-party risk assessment framework to evaluate vendors' financial stability, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity posture, and operational risks.
Prepare and deliver written communications and status updates for internal Executive Management and Vendor executives.
Track and report on third-party risk metrics, vendor performance, project status, and issue resolution.
Develop and present reports and dashboards to senior management.
Evaluate and provide well designed, intuitive and efficient management of processes for lines of business across the FNB organization. Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulations regarding vendor risk management.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
