RN, Registered Nurse - PreOp

Summary: The competent Nurse practices independently in a similar clinical setting, providing routine and complex care while managing long-term goals. They develop their ability to handle clinical contingencies, make appropriate assignments, and delegate to care providers.

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Addresses patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitors effects, and documents care.
• Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, and caregivers.
• Meets competency expectations, including onboarding, annual updates, and specific certifications.
• Requires a BSN (preferred), 1+ year of related experience, and licenses such as RN, BLS, ACLS, PALS, or ENPC. Certifications must be obtained within specified grace periods.
• Position is full-time, supporting ongoing professional development in an acute care setting.
