The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily activities of production, supervision, training, and inventory oversight. The Production Manager will provide leadership support through ensuring continued performance standards are met.

Purpose:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily activities of production, supervision, training, and inventory oversight. The Production Manager will provide leadership support through ensuring continued performance standards are met.
Essential Job Functions
- Works closely with the Director of Operations to oversee operations ensuring the department's ability to perform to standards and meet or exceed its production needs.
- Maintains control of inventory levels and warehousing of cumulative product valued at over $500,000. Communicates with necessary groups to ensure inventory is controlled at all times.
- Monitors and authorizes overtime as necessary to meet production schedules.
- Works with staffing agencies to evaluate, select, and coordinate onboarding of temporary employees.
- Manages the staffing and performance of temporary employees, and works closely with the staffing companies on needs.
- Responsible for the daily oversight of employee safety, including personal protective equipment (PPE), safe practices, and policy management.
- Promotes and demonstrates a Lean culture of continuous improvements.
- Trains new employees on processes and procedures.
- Assists in handling employee disciplinary issues and completes performance reviews.
Education, Training and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5 or more years of management or leadership experience in a production setting.
- Requires high degree of initiative, independent judgement, and responsibility.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the use of the internet.
