Key Responsibilities
As our Admissions Coordinator, you will:
- Coordinate Admissions: Act as a liaison between hospitals, referral sources, families, and our interdisciplinary team to facilitate smooth and timely admissions.
- Build Relationships: Establish and maintain connections with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to enhance our facility's reputation and maintain a steady census.
- Support Outreach: Attend events and functions to promote our facility’s positive image and strengthen referral networks.
- Ensure Accuracy: Handle financial verifications and ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care requirements.
- Monitor Operations: Identify areas impacting admissions and collaborate with leadership to develop effective solutions.
- Stay Informed: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and insurance processes.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility admissions.
- Expertise in Medicare requirements, insurance rules (PDPM, RUGS II & III), and EMR systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and all insurance types.
- Relationships with Florida hospitals (preferred).
