Description

Titan International (TWI) is currently recruiting for a Corporate Director of Safety to be ideally located at the Franklin, TN corporate office or within one of the manufacturing plant environments. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the comprehensive safety program across all North American manufacturing and distribution facilities. This role will have primary oversight for compliance with OSHA, FMCSA/DOT, and EPA regulations, and will provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure a world class safety program within all North American facilities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of company-wide safety strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures full compliance with OSHA standards and regulations; including corrective action programs to improve and maintain compliance standards and adapt to new regulations.
  • Maintain and enforce FMCSA and DOT compliance for all transportation-related operations.
  • Oversee environmental compliance initiatives in alignment with EPA regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and safety inspections across all facilities; ensuring action items are completed within agreed upon time frames.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels in conjunction with local site leadership.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and lead incident investigations.
  • Analyze safety performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with plant managers and executive leadership to foster a proactive safety culture.

Or alternatively at any facility. Preferably in Franklin.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive safety leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of working time on average
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements. OSHA 30 Certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of FMCSA and DOT laws.
  • Solid grasp of EPA standards and environmental compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CHMM) are a plus.
