We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Director of Operations, East to join our team and lead efficient and effective operations of multiple warehouses.

The Key Responsibilities Of This Position.

The Regional Director of Operations, East is a key member of the senior Operations management team who will oversee all warehouses associated within their respective region; US-East; its management team and staff. This person will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and act as an extension of that office. The Regional Director of Operations, East will lead and report on the organizational effectiveness of each warehouse in their region to improve safety, quality, productivity, and overall efficiency. This individual will work alongside additional Regional Director(s) to develop and Implement standardized frameworks and methodologies for managing all sites across all regions, ultimately aligning activities with the strategic direction of the business and the office of the COO.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership & guidance for all aspects of warehouse operations for multiple warehouse locations across a region.
  • Provide recruitment, hiring and training guidance for local facility leadership teams to ensure facilities are properly staffed to the needs of the business.
  • Set direction and performance goals for the operations of each warehouse within the region and provide strategic guidance, action planning, and continuous improvement directives to drive productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Provide operational insight to inform product development roadmaps and initiatives, data & reporting projects, etc.
  • Work with the Chief Operating Officer and Finance executives to prepare and manage regional and facility level budgets.
  • Foster a safety-focused work culture, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track, improve & sustain operational performance.
  • Work with facility General Managers and the Human Resources team to coach & develop leaders and employees within each facility in the region, ensuring that proper bench pipelines and succession plans are in place at all times.
  • Partner with cross-functional key stakeholders in departments including sales, logistics, tech, customer service, and finance as needed to complete projects & initiatives or inform decisions.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for cost savings and foster a strong culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communicate and enforce all operating policies and procedures to appropriate leaders and team members.
  • Work closely with Industrial Engineer(s) to implement projects, technology, and initiatives that drive cost savings and revenue growth for the business.
  • Gather and review data to communicate opportunities and issues to the office of the COO.
  • Frequently travel to warehouse locations and intermittently to the Company Home Office to establish a strong “boots on the ground” presence to drive strong accountability of leadership teams, ensure strong operational process adherence, and ensure company values, objectives & initiatives are being upheld and sustained consistently.

Job Requirements

  • Associates Degree - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
  • MUST have 5+ years experience as an Operations Manager, Sr. Manager, Director or equivalent.
  • MUST have 5+ years of experience in general warehouse management
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Outstanding customer service and leadership skills
  • Great attention to detail and highly organized
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in warehousing
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be dependable and have excellent attendance
  • Ability to be on your feet all day and work in extreme temperatures
  • Must be available to travel frequently (up to 75%) to multiple warehouse/office locations
  • Requires a high level of physical activity
  • Being bilingual is a plus!
