The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level registered nurse position within the Clinical Advancement Program, responsible for providing coordinated, clinically competent care for assigned patients undergoing hemodialysis.
- Performs patient assessments, data collection, and treatment plan adjustments under supervision.
- Provides patient and family education on treatment options and care.
- Administers medications, assists with emergency responses, and ensures proper lab procedures.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team and participates in quality improvement activities.
- Delegates tasks to care staff and may serve as a resource for training.
- Requires physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing, and working in a healthcare environment.
- Must have an RN license, CPR/BLS certification, and relevant nursing experience, with preferred nephrology experience for some roles.
- Additional requirements include completion of CAP requirements and possible travel to training sites.
