Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist provides services to students in least restrictive environments to support their educational and functional needs.

• Evaluates students through observation, record review, and interviews, and communicates findings to families and school teams.
• Collaborates to develop and implement individualized education and therapy plans.
• Enhances student participation, independence, and safety through environmental modifications, assistive technology, and skill development.
• Addresses self-care, motor skills, social skills, and sensory needs to improve access and engagement.
• Ensures compliance with licensing, continuing education, and ethical standards.
• Documents services, monitors progress, and supervises therapy assistants.
  
  

Qualifications include current Illinois licensure, NBOT certification, and a degree in occupational therapy.
