Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the process engineering of complex optical packages.
- Drive end to end yield improvements and touch time reduction.
- Drive root cause analysis and correction of production failures.
- Responsible for optical module mechanical assembly and material handing methods, to include: Work instructions, personnel training, process improvement, FMA, process controls and measurables.
- Report production and yield results to production team and management
- Support LEAN manufacturing and Cost Reduction activities
- Responsible for resolving engineering issues for released products.
- Source and develop equipment required for new products or capacity expansion
- Be able to work independently and prioritize tasks
- BS or MS in science or engineering required
- Manufacturing experience is a plus

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Proficient with statistical analysis, experience with JMP a plus.
- Experience with Agile and SAP, a plus.
- Electrical and Mechanical technical abilities
- MRSI bonder experience a plus
- Optical Alignment experience a plus
- Solder reflow process experience a plus
- CAD skills SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo is a plus
- This position requires interface throughout all levels and functions of the organization.
- Direct knowledge of complex electronic sub-assemblies, assembly practices is a plus
