About This Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to assume the Payroll Administrator role within the organization. The position/role offers an opportunity to be part of a growing Shared Service Organization and develop global processes to sustain flexibility as the business prepares for a new payroll and HR system.

The role of Payroll Administrator requires solid foundational and working knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing, payroll tax reporting for the United States and Canada. Hands-on experience with the various inputs and outputs, such as third-party interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, accounting, benefits and other key areas that integrate with payroll is essential. Work closely with our Payroll Vendor to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing is performed weekly, semi-monthly (US), and bi-weekly (Canada).

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee inquiry resolution and advanced issue resolution
  • Daily, proactive interactions with key internal business partners and customers
  • Adherence to the defined payroll calendar
  • Maintenance of standard work/procedures
  • Integration data management - connector between current system (Workday) and Globalview
  • Payroll reconciliations
  • Maintenance of the payroll blueprint
  • Provide reporting where requested
  • Collaboration with vendors
  • Monitor banking files and address rejects
  • Basic testing/QA of change requests
  • In-depth research of escalated issues
  • Accurate Payroll Tax Employee Setup/Research

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 5 years’ payroll processing experience within the US and Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Workday and Dayforce (Ceridian) preferred
  • Payroll certification/qualification (CPP – Certified Payroll Professional)
  • Payroll Tax knowledge throughout the US and Canada
  • Progressive analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (excel, word, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of country and localized payroll legislation
  • Local Payroll Related Legislation knowledge
  • Working knowledge of International Assignees
  • Additional Competencies:

Compensation And Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $73,369.00 – $93,375.00. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
