Job Summary

Responsible for owning the project management process for BBQ Holdings' menus; including the development and monitoring of timelines, management of the operator ordering site, and timely placement of orders by operators. Responsible for communications to BBQ Holdings' operators and franchise partners regarding menu rollouts and system-wide promotions. This role will be a strategic thought partner to the Culinary, Marketing and Information Services team and will provide ongoing standard methodologies to inspire, influence and facilitate decision making in Menu strategy and innovation.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Manages the updating, operator ordering, printing process, distribution, and invoicing of all system-wide menus and promotional materials, including franchise and geographic variations as ordered by franchisees and operators.
  • Works with vendors to create and maintain ordering sites for menus and POP materials.
  • Collects estimates, gets sign-offs on final creative by lines-of-business (LOB) owners
  • Manages relationships with menu and promotional vendor partners.
  • Responsible for getting files from menu vendor to Digital Services and Marketing team for downloading restaurants' menus onto brand website and online ordering.
  • Menu production includes but is not limited to dine-in, To Go, catering, beverage/bar, kids, faxable and Braille menus, and different menu boards (digital and print) across the system.
  • Develops schedules for menu and promotion production including the creative development timeframe. Responsible for moving the process along and working with team members on the rollout and execution to ensure materials are in restaurants on time. Re-negotiates timelines or schedules as necessary, communicating impact of changes to all team members.
  • Menu Management for multiple brands from start to finish
  • Maintains and manages Master Menu File
  • Works with cross-functional team on all aspects (items, pricing, design, training, POS)
  • Responsible for key communication to operators regarding menu rollouts and standardized rollout guides for system-wide promotions. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with franchise and corporate operators to optimize participation and timely ordering, communicates changes or additions, and tracks and reports participation to Marketing Department members.
  • Maintain and build franchise relationships, working cross functionally with franchise teams and vendors, communicate, and collaborate with others in positive to ensure open and timely execution of projects.
  • Serve as point of contract for franchise and vendor related content management.
  • Plans effectively and multi-tasks. Utilize time management and organization skills to achieve aggressive deadlines; sets priorities and maintains organizational and filing systems. Responds promptly to others to ensure open and timely communication with franchisees, vendors and internal teams.
  • Align and execute brand objectives in partnership with cross-functional teams; works collaboratively with internal partners to ensure issues are solved.
  • Collaborates with the Digital Services team to execute menu rollouts to native online ordering and external ordering channels.
  • Contributes to overall department planning and strategy development.
  • Collaborates with the Information Services team by creating job tickets for all menu rollouts and works with the team
  • Demonstrates agility in managing multiple priorities and projects in complex environment
  • Communication with field leaders and restaurants to get feedback and identify process improvements from start to finish.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field; experience may be substituted for part of preferred educational qualifications as appropriate.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience; restaurant/food service preferred
  • Experience in a Franchise organization a plus.
