CalPERS retirees cannot be in an on-call substitute pool. Violations could include repayment of your retirement benefits to PERS (reference CalPERS Publication 33 - Employment after retirement). To comply with PERS, we are not able to have retirees as active substitutes. All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications (i.e., education, experience, etc.) as listed on the job description in order to be considered for an interview. All applicants must apply online through Edjoin. All communication on your application status will be done via email. Please make sure you check your email for any updates on your application. Processing times may vary depending on the District's sub needs.
