Position Overview: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing all financial functions and helping shape the organization’s strategic direction. This individual will provide vision, direction, and leadership in areas including financial planning, revenue cycle management, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and growth goals
  • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, billing, and cash flow management
  • Lead the finance team in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with healthcare-specific regulations
  • Analyze financial performance, providing actionable insights to executive leadership and the board
  • Evaluate opportunities for operational efficiency and revenue optimization across the organization
  • Maintain relationships with external partners including auditors, lenders, and regulatory agencies
  • Support strategic initiatives including mergers, partnerships, and capital investments
  • Cultivate a high-performing finance team focused on excellence, transparency, and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in healthcare or a similarly regulated industry
  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle management, reimbursement, and healthcare finance regulations
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills
  • Proficient in financial systems, reporting tools, and advanced Excel functions
