About The Team

The Brand Studio team works across most teams and projects at Stripe. We elevate high quality creative across brand standards, advertising campaigns, internal brand, global events, and more.

The Brand Identity team on Brand Studio collaborates both in-house and with agency partners to manage and define both internal and external brand systems and deliver assets across every part of Stripe. We define the design quality bar for Stripe’s brands and provide tools and services to deliver world class design. We focus both on evolving new creative ideas as well as building robust systems for scale. We sweat the details to ensure the highest quality experience for our users (and other Stripes).

The ideal candidate excels at working fast and scrappy without sacrificing the highest quality, has a growth mindset, and can bring fresh expressions within an internal brand sandbox. They understand the best practices of design for workplace settings, can hold their own in stakeholder reviews, and know how to drive work forward through layers of stakeholder alignment while maintaining energy and enthusiasm for the work.

What you’ll do

As a designer working on internal brand workplace projects, you will collaborate with the Workplace team and other creatives at Stripe to ensure the Stripe offices are vibrant, inspiring places to work. You’ll be responsible for ideating, designing, and managing production across a variety of different kinds of creative ideas that elevate the Stripe culture inside Stripe offices around the world. Whether designing the work yourself, or working with selected partners and vendors, you are expected to raise the design quality and consistency of interactions with the Stripe brand.

Responsibilities

  • Conceive of and execute on internal brand ideas across a wide range of deliverables: posters, art, branding, signage, and ideas that go beyond the expected
  • Develop and maintain our global wayfinding, signage, and artwork standards to align with real estate project needs
  • Bring the Stripe culture to life through interesting and inspiring creative ideas
  • Have impeccable taste and an understanding of how to bring that taste to workplace projects
  • Bring design concepts to life through storyboarding, comps, and creative presentations
  • Iterate on creative based on stakeholder feedback and internal testing
  • Present ideas in a clear and focused way that builds consensus within the team
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, animators, creative technologists and more to make interesting things
  • Drive creative quality, collaboration, and cohesion across multiple external agencies in tandem
  • Partner with cross functional teams including DEIB, local site leads, operations managers, Stripe Design team, Stripe Press, and Marketing to ensure standards evolve as our company branding does


Who you are

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years experience at agency/in-house, concepting and designing ideas for brand and product advertising
  • Experience working collaborating with and overseeing agencies and production partners to execute concepts at the highest level
  • Experience designing and articulating creative decisions
  • Experience bringing ideas to life with high quality comps and prototypes
  • Demonstrated experience working on creative ideas that inspire audiences
  • Experience bringing ideas to life through comps and creative presentations
  • Experience in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite applications
  • Are passionate about Stripe’s mission and are eager to build for the long term and drive global change
  • Have excellent organization and presentation skills, and excel in written and verbal communication


Preferred Qualifications

  • Has experience designing for physical spaces
  • Has experience producing physical items from creative to production


Hybrid work at Stripe

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $144,000 - $216,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
