Job Summary
The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for executing Indiana Sports Corp’s community engagement strategy through grassroots marketing, strategic partnerships, and impactful community programs. This role fosters meaningful connections between the organization, its events, and the Indiana community while delivering memorable and mission-driven experiences.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise seasonal employees, graduate assistants, and/or interns in alignment with event schedules and staffing needs.
- Recruit, interview, train, and oversee new team members.
- Manage the day-to-day workflow of direct reports and Local Organizing Committee (LOC) members.
- Provide clear, solution-oriented communication to team members and adjust priorities as needed to meet deadlines and uphold quality standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Grassroots Marketing & Outreach
- Lead efforts to connect Indiana Sports Corp events with local and regional promotional opportunities aligned with the organization’s engagement strategy.
- Maintain a comprehensive promotional event dashboard detailing event information, audience demographics, goals, outcomes, and key insights.
- Collaborate with the Stakeholder Engagement Manager on volunteer recruitment, registration, and communications.
- Develop clear guidelines for staff, interns, and volunteers regarding event setup, engagement protocols, key messaging, and onsite logistics.
- Support data acquisition and promotional sweepstakes in coordination with the Marketing & Communications team.
- Capture engaging content during appearances for social media amplification.
- Foster relationships with ISC partners, sponsors, and community organizations to elevate event presence and visibility.
- Design and implement inclusive and engaging outreach initiatives that reflect ISC’s mission and values.
- Partner with the VP of Engagement to design community programs that reflect both ISC’s mission and the values of event partners.
- Oversee the execution of legacy and community impact initiatives, including sports facility restoration, scholarships, and grants.
- Actively engage community partners to identify opportunities for collaboration, impact, and brand exposure.
- Maintain a community partner dashboard to track engagement and communicate impact.
- Manage sponsorship deliverables such as marketing activations, prize distribution, and staffing event appearances.
- Oversee inventory and usage of promotional assets, including signage, materials, giveaways, and collateral.
- Manage merchandise and apparel orders for board members, staff, interns, and event teams, working closely with the Art Director to ensure brand alignment.
- Develop and implement a request system for auction items, prize packs, and other giveaways.
- Support speaking engagements and community appearances with prepared collateral, giveaways, and support materials.

- Experience with registration platforms, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), or related technologies.
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing, community outreach, program management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
