Description

The Strategic Operations Manager is both an analytical and strategic professional who thrives in dynamic environments and excels at solving complex problems. With a proven ability to lead initiatives independently, they bring resourcefulness, initiative, and a hands-on approach to project management.

This individual demonstrates expertise in developing and implementing standard operating procedures and process improvements, while leveraging data to inform strategic decisions. Prior leadership experience, along with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Strategy & Execution

  • Identify gaps in processes and design sustainable, scalable solutions
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline workflows and optimize performance
  • Translate complex problems into clear, actionable plans
  • Team Leadership
    • o Manage and mentor a team, ensuring alignment with departmental goals
    • o Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement
    • o Provide guidance and help your team rise to the occasion
  • Process Development & Implementation
    • o Draft and roll out SOPs, playbooks, and documentation to support operational excellence
    • o Drive adoption through training, monitoring, and iterative feedback
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
    • o Analyze operational data to surface trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities
    • o Build clear reports and presentations to support strategic recommendations
    • Maintain a bias toward action, backed by data
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or program management
  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Salesforce, and data dashboards
  • Strong understanding of workforce management, process design, or service delivery models and a positive work attitude.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment.
  • A positive and upbeat team member!

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred candidate has either an honorable military discharge, a Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ experience in an operations management and project management role.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Additionally, the position requires near and far vision in reading correspondence and using the computer, and acute hearing when providing phone and counter service to the public.
  • Must maintain flexibility regarding job assignments, including other departments, locations, and mandatory overtime.
  • Time flexibility depending on the needs of the company.
