Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of Human Resources including employee morale programs, disciplinary actions, payroll changes, terminations, and resignations.
- Administer benefits programs such as I-9 documentation, workers' compensation, disability, and FMLA.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities, including the Department of Health.
- Oversee recruitment efforts: screen applicants, conduct interviews, and manage onboarding processes.
- Maintain and audit employee files to meet regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with department heads on performance evaluations and action plans.
- Communicate policies and procedures clearly to staff.
- Coordinate and participate in employee engagement programs.
- Monitor and manage employee attendance, leaves, and unemployment claims.
- Serve as a liaison between union delegates/employees and management.
- Conduct investigations, exit interviews, and provide guidance on disciplinary actions.
- Organize regular training sessions and maintain training records.
- Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in skilled nursing or healthcare.
- Familiarity with unions is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
