Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Integration Specialist to support our EHR integration operations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating directly with customers to lead successful implementations and support customers in using our EHR integration products. As an Integration Specialist, you’ll play a key role in connecting our platform with EHR systems to drive provider engagement and improve patient outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation and support of HL7/FHIR/proprietary EHR integrations for medical practices – including configuring integration details, managing credentials, setting up test data, conducting testing, and troubleshooting issues
  • Interface directly with customers to coordinate timelines, assist with integration setup tasks, and advising on best practices to ensure integrations go live on time and remain operational
  • Facilitate go-live testing – execute test plans, complete data mapping, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure data completeness and accuracy, and coordinate end-user testing with customers
  • Troubleshoot issues using runbook documentation and API logs
  • Monitor integration health by establishing monitoring metrics and practices, responding to customer-reported issues, coordinating with internal teams for escalation and resolution of complex issues, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve reliability and stability
  • Maintain internal and external documentation of data mapping specs, workflows, runbooks, user guides, and support procedures

Education/Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in health information systems, information technology, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare technology, integration management, technical implementation, technical support or operations, or related field
  • Experience with EHR integrations (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or others) strongly preferred

Skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills – you're comfortable with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike, and you can work directly with customers
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills – you’re comfortable using runbooks and logs to trace issues before escalating
  • Proficiency in APIs (RESTful, SOAP) and technical languages like JSON, XML, and/or SQL
  • Basic understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, X12, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of HIPAA, data privacy, and healthcare compliance standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be fully proficient in Google G Suite or MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

Note on Work Location:

This is a remote position open to candidates across the U.S. However, if you are located in the Bay Area, California or within 50 miles of Bellevue, Washington, you will be expected to work from a local office at least once per week.
