Job Summary
PACS Administrator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the existing PACS, Power Script system and RIS. Administrator oversees the day-to-day operation of the PACS, ensuring that it is operating properly. PACS Administrator investigates, identifies issues with the system and work with the vendor to repair the PACS. Administrator acts as liaison in digital imaging initiatives within the department and other departments. PACS Administrator works closely with the Director in strategic planning for medical imaging initiatives.

- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time. Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
- General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
- May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
- May be scheduled as needed including overtime
- Vocational Technical Degree in Radiology Technology (Required)
- 4 - 5 years Experience as a X-Ray technologist (Required)
- 1 - 2 years Radiology PACS (Required)
- 1 - 2 years Management Experience (Preferred)
- Required Certifications/Licensures: ARRT Certificate
