Key Responsibilities
- Oversee structural steel projects from inception through completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
- Define scope, objectives, resources, and deliverables for each project
- Lead planning and implementation phases, and manage multiple concurrent projects
- Supervise and guide Assistant Project Managers and field teams
- Coordinate with general contractors, architects, owners, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Review and manage project budgets, schedules, and performance targets
- Prepare and negotiate project change orders and subcontracts
- Lead drawing reviews, including shop and field drawings
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Utilize FabSuite (or similar system), MS Project, Excel, and Outlook for project tracking and communication
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in structural or architectural steel
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred
- Strong background in steel construction and fabrication
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction drawings (AISC, AWS standards)
- Skilled in project budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation
- Excellent leadership, delegation, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
- Familiarity with FabSuite or similar fabrication software is a plus
- PMP Certification preferred
