Position Overview
The Sales Systems Analyst will play a crucial role within the Sales Strategy team in supporting systems, processes, and procedures. As a system administrator you will provide data-driven insights, reporting, and analysis to support our sales organization in achieving its goals. This role will work closely with the sales teams to optimize sales performance, identify opportunities, and drive informed decision-making. The Sales Analyst will also serve as a general admin of the system and provide direct/indirect reporting support.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Sales Reporting and Analysis: Maintain regular and ad-hoc sales reports, dashboards, and scorecards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, market share, distribution, pricing (price list analysis), and promotional effectiveness.
- Promotional Evaluation and TPM Maintenance: Analyze the effectiveness of trade promotions and provide recommendations for optimizing future promotional activities. You will also be involved in TPM maintenance, potentially as a superuser.
- Forecasting Support: Assist in the development of sales forecasts by providing historical data analysis and trend insights.
- AR Reconciliation and Reporting: Manage inputs/outputs from the AR team from deduction through reconciling to Vividly and reporting against gaps.
- Vividly and S&OP Reconciliation: Play a key role in reconciling data between Vividly and Sales & Operations (S&OP) processes, ensuring alignment across departments.
- System Administration: Serve as a general administrator of sales-related systems, ensuring data integrity and efficient operation.
- Direct/Indirect Reporting Support: Provide analytical support for both direct and indirect sales channels.
- Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure data alignment and support strategic initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy and efficiency. This may involve managing information within the images database and understanding product specs.
- Provide backup support for the responsibilities of the Director of Revenue and Trade Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in a sales analysis role, preferably within the CPG industry and/or Food Service.
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charting) and strong overall system savvy.
- Solid database knowledge and experience working with various database structures.
- Experience working with syndicated data sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) preferred.
- Experience with Trade Promotion Management (TPM) systems and maintenance is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Retail/FS experience preferred (but not required).
- Retail/FS accounting background (understanding receivables/chargebacks) is a plus.
