Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not directly supervisor or manage any direct reports.

Position Summary

The Market Research Analyst will conduct and oversee all quantitative and qualitative consumer research in support of internal teams and external stakeholders. The primary responsibilities of this role include initiating a variety of custom primary research studies, including questionnaire design, survey programming, management of external panel providers and analysis of survey results. A successful candidate will work with internal teams to develop and execute research and insights projects and distill results into actionable insights for the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Devise and evaluate methods for collecting data (surveys, questionnaires, opinion polls, focus groups, etc.).
  • Transform data analysis and insight into comprehensible charts, graphs, and written reports to inform key business decisions.
  • Maintain and improve reports to answer relevant business questions.
  • Work with marketing, sales, research and development and product development to understand research needs and initiatives.
  • Distribute all reports with actionable insights to internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers.
  • Support and manage external stakeholder relationships and custom research needs.
  • Develop and maintain Marketing Research Action Log.
  • Work within time frames established in partner agreements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant college degree or 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of statistical methods
  • Proficiency of MS Office Products
  • High level Business Communications Skills
  • Travel as needed
  • Willing and able to meet deadlines as established

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency of the XM Qualtrics platform
  • Thorough understanding of consumer research methodology
  • Understanding of horticulture/live goods industry
  • Focus group Moderation experience

Job Setting & Physical Demands

Employees in this position work primarily indoors but may be required to ambulate between locations within a large outdoor environment. The role is largely sedentary, however some administrative duties such as filing are quired. This would require the ability to lift files, open cabinets, bend or stand as necessary. To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to use a computer and other standard office equipment such as phones, copiers, fax machines, etc. Fluency in the English language and the ability to see, speak, hear, read, and write are required. The ability to travel by all means of transportation and to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business needs is required.

The ability to travel to and visit retail stores on a regular basis is required.
