OGC operates 24-7, and it's the Operations department's responsibility and energy is extraordinary. If you have experience leading daily warehouse operations including the receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipment of products. The Facilities Manager oversees all building and grounds maintenance for Organically Grown Company at the Portland, Eugene, Des Moines and Spokane facilities. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring the facilities are safe, GMP compliant, and maintained to comply with all certifying agencies and fully operational. The Facilities Manager will also be responsible for managing contractors, training new employees and working with third-party vendors.

This position requires the ability to regularly perform physical task including but not limited to lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing and reaching. Regular heavy lifting up to 60lbs required during approximately 15% of scheduled work time. Continuous mental and/or visual attention; the work requires constant alertness to monitor warehouse processes and/or identify problems. The work environment will regularly be cold and may be exposed to dust, fumes, dirt, noise and water. Ability to meet above description of position with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Provide leadership and direction for the facilities and maintenance team across all OGC locations, including satellite facilities such as cross docks. Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, scheduling, and ensuring consistent practices across all sites.
- Support the set-up of new locations, including space planning, infrastructure readiness, vendor coordination, permitting, and equipment installation. Ensure new sites align with OGC standards and operational requirements.
- Ensure all maintenance and facility operating procedures are up to date, accurate, comprehensive and supports training. Identifies training needs and may contribute to the development of training materials.
- Serve as one of the organizations' safety representatives during relevant audits, including OSHA, GFSI, etc. Proactively identify safety, training and compliance issues and develop plans to correct and areas of opportunities.
- Ensure that company premises and facilities are held to regulatory governing agencies' standards for clean and hygienic conditions. Designs, implements and modifies preventive maintenance programs by reviewing production, quality control, maintenance reports and statistics; inspecting operating machines, equipment and systems for conformance with regulatory and operational standards.

Qualified Candidates will have:
- Previous preventative and general maintenance program planning.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, engaging and motivating others.
- Experience maintaining and enforcing warehouse safety requirements and expectations.
- Able to safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, rider jacks, etc.
- Intermediate skills in MS office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as the capacity to learn and use a variety of computer software programs specific to OGC.
- Ability to work cohesively in a team environment; able to switch tasks quickly and efficiently as needed.
- High attention to detail and ability to focus for extended periods of time.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Must be flexible and agile to support OGC business needs and mission and may be assigned projects and/or other duties outside of normal job functions to meet the needs and demands of the business.
