About The Role

As a Safety Representative at United Utility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our team members and the communities we serve. Your expertise in live line transmission work or bare hand work will directly impact our business by upholding the highest safety standards, fostering a culture of safety awareness, and helping us maintain our industry-leading position. Join us and be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in the construction industry. This position will be responsible for the Amarillo, TX and New Mexico area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee safety programs and policies on construction sites.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct live line training.
  • Provide safety training to employees and contractors.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and recommending preventative measures.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into all aspects of construction.

Key Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in the live line transmission, barehand, and distribution industry and 2 years in safety.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft office.
  • A commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.

  • Certified Occupational safety Specialist (COSS)
  • Excel experience
