The Opportunity

We are looking to add a Margin Analyst to our Trading team. In this role, you’ll serve as the daily administrator of cash debit and margin activity, playing a crucial role in assisting advisors to ensure client accounts are in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

The Impact

As a Margin Analyst, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Liaising with advisors, traders, and internal partners on a daily basis to ensure tasks are accomplished in a timely manner. Provide guidance to advisors on relevant policies and procedures surrounding cash debit and margin items.
  • Researching customer margin and debit issues using multiple tools. Assess daily cash debit and margin actions to manage workload within margin team.
  • Communicating with clients, advisors and internal partners to work through resolving issues, and providing recommendations and/or solutions to continuously improve processes and ensure efficiencies across the team.
  • Ownership of maintaining and updating client account records for accuracy. Reconcile cash debit and margin actions to individual account ensuring accounts are in good order to trade
  • Meeting intraday deadlines to comply with relevant financial regulations as outlined in company policies and procedures.
  • Independently researching trade and operational issues as needed by the trading team.
  • Monitoring and managing changes to the custodial platform to recommend changes to cash debit and margin processing to take advantage of system changes. Update policies and procedures as needed.
  • Participating in internal audits, FINRA audits and Compliance reviews.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of client services experience
  • 1+ year of experience with Excel
  • Due to the nature of this position, as part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to quality as a fingerprinted person under FINRA.

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field such as Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, or Economics
  • Experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
