Position Summary
This position supports the mission and work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization. The Data Systems Specialist provides administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the development office, with a strong emphasis on reporting, data entry, and donor acknowledgments. The role involves assisting in financial development activities, donor database management, and fundraising event coordination.

All employees are required to follow the preventative health policies of the YMCA at all times. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.

Position Summary

The role involves assisting in financial development activities, donor database management, and fundraising event coordination.
Essential Functions
- Model the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
- Maintain positive relationships with staff, donors, board members, and volunteers.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial reports, donor stewardship reports, and data analysis for fundraising initiatives.
- Works with fundraising software programs, including Daxko, GiveSmart, and Mobile Cause.
- Generate reports for fundraising efforts, donor tracking, and annual campaign progress.
- Support activities related to annual fundraising events, including event logistics and vendor relations.
- Maintain donor records, process pledges, and generate acknowledgment letters.
- Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings.
Experience, Education, and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or Office Administrator, preferably in a nonprofit or fundraising setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with donor management software (e.g., Daxko, Mobile Cause) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to generate reports based on data collection.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- High school diploma required; additional qualifications in office administration or development support preferred.
- Must complete annual safety, combating sexual-harassment, and child abuse prevention trainings assigned by human resources prior to direct service.
- Must have current CPR and First Aid
