The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure, is currently seeking an Assistant to the Chief of CADD to support the Division.
The selected candidate will assist the Chief of CADD/Survey in the management and coordination of all computer-drafting operations in the Division. Final candidate will solve technical issues and will find solutions to improve daily work flow; update and maintain infrastructure design standards and guidelines; develop, implement and enforce CADD standards; plan, organize and coordinate all CADD support activities; coordinate CAD trainings; provide basic AutoCAD and Bluebeam training to new hires and assist in creating Bluebeam sessions;, ; provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions; order, maintain, and monitor CADD network printers and plotters, and order all the necessary supplies as needed; report CADD network printer and plotter meter reads and coordinate service as required.
Lastly, the Assistant Chief of CADD will design CADD system environment and CADD project folders including the maintenance and organization of all CADD documents, archive folders, and retrievals; arrange computer drafting trainings for all Infrastructure staff as needed; assist users with file transfers (currently using BOX.com), transfer files to Con Edison using Con Edison SFTP server, and maintain and update the distribution lists for mass mailings.

- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
- High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
