We’re looking for an outgoing and confident candidate to join our team and play a central role in planning events and supporting with content production. The position of PR Events Intern for Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA) is part of the Public Relations Lifestyle & Experiential Strategy Team, which is responsible for supporting events and content production targeted at media. All projects are designed in pursuit of interacting positively with target audiences through traditional and non-traditional coverage. Additionally, this individual will provide support with budget tracking and team coordination.

The position requires excellent organization skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm, and strong decision-making ability. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are also necessary for this internship. This position requires the ability to interact with members of the press, content creators, vendors, and other PCNA departments in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

This position reports to the Spokesperson, Content and Special Projects but should be able to interact with and assist all other members of the Public Relations team.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist the Spokesperson, Content and Special Projects in the development and execution of editorial assets in support of PR's content strategy; responsibilities include contributing to creative campaign concepts, maintaining a digital library of content assets, managing a project calendar for social media activity, collaborating with internal stakeholders to produce social content, and supporting the production of behind-the-scenes content for projects filmed at OPD
  • Assist the Spokesperson, Events and Experiential with event logistics for domestic and international media events and other nontraditional experiential activations; responsibilities include travel arrangements, guest registration, internal communications, finance & procurement oversight, vendor management and other general coordination topics.
  • Assist the Manager, Lifestyle Communications and Experiential Strategy by coordinating day-to-day department meetings as well as long-term projects and activities. .
  • Assist with filing and tracking systems for department, including meeting minutes, deadline reports and workback plans.
  • Assist with department finance, accounting and procurement needs; ensure these documents are processed according to PCNA Finance Policy.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating team planning meetings, brainstorming sessions, and content reviews.
  • Prepare and format presentations, reports, and media summaries for team use.

Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required preferably English, Communications, Event Management, Journalism, Marketing, or Photography/Videography

Position Requirements

  • Excellent command of Social Media platforms including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Reddit, Snapchat and any other social platform. Must also be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Event organization experience is desired, including logistics, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a very high-level of confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - flexible, energetic, collaborative, detail-oriented, highly motivated. Strong team player who enjoys working in a multi-cultural environment, and has capacity to work both independently, collaboratively and is flexible with new requests.
  • Self-starter and strong multitasker with an interest in the automotive industry.
  • Experience seeking out appropriate resources when necessary while utilizing them efficiently and intelligently.
  • Ethical in all his/her dealings. Understands the importance of integrity and compliance.
  • Position is set to a 40 hour/week structure, with a potential for overtime due to travel or increased workload. Must be able to travel and occasionally work weekends and evenings.
