Position Summary
The Nutrition Counseling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the productivity and delivery of high-quality nutrition counseling services. This role supervises a team of Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians and ensures compliance with quality and performance metrics. The supervisor provides coaching to team when needed, is directly involved with new hire training and participates in quality improvement and growth initiatives.
The team under this position’s supervision has pacific time working hours, so the supervisor would need to be available until 6pm Pacific Time, as needed.

Position Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To
- Provide day-to-day management and oversight of nutrition counseling staff
- Ensure team meets productivity targets through routine review of performance metrics and management to individual RD goals
- Gain understanding of quality metrics and trends, and manage team to quality expectations
- Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins to support staff performance and professional development
- Assist in hiring, training, and onboarding new team members
- Serve as a resource for complex client situations
- Assist in the development of clinical process changes to support the broader goals of the nutritional counseling program
- Maintain and update professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science or Dietetics
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing clinical service delivery teams
- Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships, influence others at all levels and drive change in a complex environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks or projects at one time
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops computers and smartphones
- Work independently and has a strong sense of responsibility carrying out the required job duties with a minimum amount of daily supervision
- Licensed or eligible for licensing in the state of residence
- Training in health coaching, motivational interviewing and intuitive/mindful eating framework
- Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
- Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
