Business Analyst

Main Function

The Business Analyst serves as a primary interface between the business areas and IT, facilitating the alignment of business processes, rules, and strategies with IT designs and applications. To lead a wide range of projects and to translate business requirements into integrated system solutions. Collaborate with global business users and development teams to provide analysis and recommendations for scalable solutions, which contribute to company’s overall success and goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 4-year technical degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• At least 10 years of IT project management and business analysis experience, with strong knowledge of the tools and techniques required to analyze, document, validate, and manage business requirements and.
• At least 3 years of software development exposure in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior involvement in an ERP system implementation effort (Epicor ERP a must).
• Experience with EDI and related customer requirements.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or distribution a must
• Solid understanding of IT Governance and best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Project, and Outlook/Teams).
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with report generation and functional SQL knowledge.
• Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse experience is a plus.
• Must be a self-starter and can work independently as well as in groups.
• Understanding, infusing, and implementing AI technologies such as Copilot.
• Ability to review and improve requirements based on industry standards.

Essential Job Duties

• Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams to establish project scope and vision.
• Gather user requirements using various methods, including interviews.
• Identify project scope, establish a qualification and understanding, implement changes, and provide documentation.
• Schedule and participate in QA user acceptance testing to ensure the solution provided meets the business objective.
• Establish a working relationship with internal Subject Matter Experts to obtain maximum results for the company.
• Research, review, and analyze existing processes, develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
• Assist in conducting research of 3rd Party solutions to meet agreed-upon requirements.
• Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing: Participate in BI/DW report activities. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
• Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and project team.
  
  

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget.
