Description
The Director of Clinical Operations provides executive leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for HealthyU clinics in California. This role ensures clinical excellence, operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and a superior patient experience by collaborating with executive leadership, medical directors, and operational teams.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly oversees senior managers and directors in the following departments:
Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in healthcare operations, with a proven track record of managing multi-site clinics or healthcare facilities. Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Required Skills/Abilities
Executive-level leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven experience with multi-site healthcare operations management. Strong financial acumen and budget management experience. Expertise in healthcare regulations and compliance standards (California-specific knowledge preferred). Data-driven decision-making skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management systems. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

- Surgical Support and Coordination
- Develops and executes long-term strategies that align clinical operations with the organization’s mission and growth objectives.
- Oversees multi-site operations, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Partners with the other Clinical Operations leader, Senior Leadership, and Medical Directors to shape organizational strategy, clinical service models, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Represents clinical operations in executive leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions.
- Establishes and enforces performance metrics, operational workflows, and policies across all clinical locations.
- Drives efficiency in clinic scheduling, patient flow, and care coordination through standardized practices.
- Oversees clinic budgets, financial planning, and operational forecasts.
- Ensures cost-effective resource allocation while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
- Collaborates with Finance on revenue cycle processes, including payment collections and reimbursement procedures.
- Leads regulatory compliance efforts and quality assurance initiatives.
- Oversees audits and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Provides visionary leadership, mentorship, and performance coaching to senior managers and clinical staff.
- Promotes a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and continuous professional development.
- Champions a patient-first culture by developing and monitoring patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Addresses patient concerns and ensures service excellence through innovative care delivery models.
- Leverages data analytics to monitor clinical performance, optimize care delivery, and support evidence-based management decisions.
- Develops and oversees emergency preparedness protocols, ensuring readiness for natural disasters, pandemics, and other emergencies.
- Builds strategic partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and industry stakeholders to expand the organization’s reach and influence.
