Position Summary
Sacramento Kings are seeking a passionate and strategic Manager of Youth Development & Social Impact to lead and grow youth basketball, health, and education-focused initiatives. This role oversees all aspects of the Jr. Kings program and broader community youth programs, ensuring accessibility, inclusivity, and meaningful engagement across the region.
You’ll develop, execute, and evaluate high-impact programs that promote health, education, and equity, while building lasting relationships with schools, nonprofits, and community partners. This role serves as a key representative of the Kings in the community and requires a dynamic leader who can connect with youth, manage events, and collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities
The offer range for this full-time, exempt position is $66,650 - $70,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the offer range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:

You’ll develop, execute, and evaluate high-impact programs that promote health, education, and equity, while building lasting relationships with schools, nonprofits, and community partners. This role serves as a key representative of the Kings in the community and requires a dynamic leader who can connect with youth, manage events, and collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all youth basketball programs, including camps, clinics, leagues, and tournaments.
- Manage day-to-day operations of Jr. Kings and other youth initiatives, including budgeting, scheduling, and staffing.
- Oversee on-site execution of youth and community events, serving as a public-facing ambassador.
- Hire, train, and supervise coaches, interns, and part-time staff.
- Cultivate strong relationships with families, schools, nonprofits, and community stakeholders.
- Partner with internal teams to align programs with business goals and seasonal campaigns.
- Support marketing, digital, and social media needs to promote programs and impact stories.
- Oversee Kids Club game day activations and fan engagement efforts.
- Ensure timely reporting and impact tracking across all youth and social impact initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Sports Management, Social Work, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in youth sports, community programming, or related leadership roles.
- Deep knowledge of youth basketball development and community engagement best practices.
- Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Canva; experience with social media and project tools is a plus.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
