Who We Need

As the Program Coordinator you will be responsible for the coordination and development of both program operations and staff to support the needs of members served. Program Coordinator oversees administrative staff (Office Staff/Benefit Specialists) and clinical staff (BHP/BHPP) to optimize service delivery for members assigned to the outpatient health home. Conducts periodic operational reviews, develops action plans, and assists the Program Director in assessing the status of the operational process, projects, and issues important information to the professional operation of the site. Leads local processes related to verifying and monitoring member eligibility, collection of co-pays, and coordination of benefits for members receiving services. Responsible for monitoring and managing performance of the assigned programs and employees in providing operational, administrative, scheduling/coverage, clinical leadership, and coordination of services to members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field plus two (2) years’ experience related experience; equivalency of education and experience acceptable to include six years of behavioral health experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • Must have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire.
  • Required to maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and can pass a motor vehicle screen for insurance purposes in order to transport clients.

JOB SUMMARY (Including, but not limited to):

  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and use the proper de-escalation methods in crisis situations.
  • Proficiency in typing, using computer software, i.e., EHR/EMR systems and MS Office.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, problem solve and work effectively in an individual and team environment.
  • Ability to develop strong professional relationships with team members and foster a sense of teamwork and collaboration across all sites.
  • Competency in administrative, clinical, management and supervisory tasks.
  • Knowledge of the behavioral health care delivery system in Arizona.
  • Knowledge of management techniques and supervisory best practices.
  • Knowledge of licensing, accreditation and contract standards.
  • Knowledge of staffing development, process improvement methods and outcome activities.
  • Ability to develop, analyze and monitor the annual programmatic budget for the applicable area.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment and be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality; and exhibit mature judgment and emotional stability
  • Serves as positive role model in demonstrating professional and caring attitudes and behaviors towards the individuals we serve, their families, co-workers, and guests.
  • Contributes to effective teamwork by combining skills and energy in a coordinated effort with individuals we serve, their families, supervisors, co-workers and outside agencies.
