North Georgia Civil Inc is urgently seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer to lead daily field operations on a high-impact commercial construction project in Boulder, CO. This role is perfect for a hands-on construction leader with a strong track record in managing subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring exceptional site execution. Initially structured as a 3-month project-based contract, this role offers strong potential for long-term placement or relocation within our growing national operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities on a commercial project site.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and ensure alignment with project scope and timeline.
• Interface directly with clients and stakeholders, providing daily updates and addressing concerns.
• Review and maintain project schedules as outlined by the NGC home office.
• Submit daily field reports, including photographs and updates, to the internal PM team.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, industry codes, and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently to maintain productivity and schedule.
• Provide occasional support on nights or weekends when project demands require it.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or equivalent site leadership role in commercial construction.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, safety compliance, and subcontractor coordination.
• Ability to read, understand, and work from construction schedules and specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Highly self-reliant and organized with excellent time management skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Personal vehicle and smartphone for daily jobsite use.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in federal or government construction projects.
• Experience with commercial renovations or new build (ground-up) construction.

Schedule

• Full-Time: Monday to Friday | 10-hour shifts
