Primary Job Functions

  • Data Extraction and Analysis-
  • Should be able to extract data from various sources by executing existing processes or using an existing tool.
  • Should assist in creating processes to profile, clean, manipulate, and map the extracted data.
  • The candidate should be able to reconcile the data to ensure there are no discrepancies or missing data from the source after extraction and cleanup.
  • Candidate should be able to assist in summarizing, analyzing the data, and interpreting results.
  • Data Warehousing -
  • Candidate should be able to use established design, update, and maintain the databases used for the data warehouse.
  • Assist the data analyst in designing and creating data models for data warehousing and mining.
  • Build and run SQL scripts to pull, aggregate, display, and interpret data.
  • Reports and Visualization -
  • Build, monitor, and maintain dashboard.
  • Use existing analytical tools available in different applications and create, modify data visualizations based on user requirements (i.e. Avatar KPI, Azara, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Should inform stakeholders of any red flags by looking at the data and help them make decisions.
  • Respond and review ad-hoc data requests. Create and format reports based on user requests.
  • Company and project initiatives
  • Learn AltaPointe business processes and organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with IT stakeholders to understand business needs and assist in providing analytical information and/or solutions.
  • Participate in new project initiatives and assist in analyzing the impact on existing analytics and developed applications, and communicate necessary changes and development.
  • Document all development in various systems and maintain ongoing documentation.
  • Other IT duties as deemed necessary should include, but not be limited to the following
  • Test and document compliance related to the MIS policy and procedure.
  • Assist in system(s) evaluations with other IT staff.
  • Participate in IT team meetings and initiatives.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process for IT.
  • Participation in and chairing committees deemed necessary to support standards and accreditations.
  • Assist in providing training when deemed necessary.
  • Participate in Orientation Training for IT.
  • Provide application training when deemed necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Administrative and other related duties as assigned
  • Actively participates in Performance Improvement activities
  • Actively participates in AltaPointe committees as requested.
  • Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Business. Experience in SQL database design, T-SQL programming, data modeling, data warehousing, experience in Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting service (SSRS), and Analytical services (SSAS), experience in .Net programming, ASP, JavaScript; experience managing software deployments; application planning, development, and training; experience working with departmental leaders, task-oriented, good communication, analytical, quick learner, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Candidate must possess a combination of business, technical, and project management skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and analytical and reporting tools, i.e. Power BI and Crystal.
