Corporate Controller Job Summary
The primary function of the Corporate Controller is to lead the Accounting Department and support the executive management and line managers throughout the Company.
Proven experience in leading and managing a team of accounting professionals. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Experience in performance management, including setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Substantial experience with multiple-entity, consolidations, and lease accounting. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. A combination of public accounting and previous controller experience preferred.
Working Conditions
This position involves both sedentary and other work. For part of the shift, s/he will work at a desk in an office setting, doing paperwork, typing, filing, and key entry on a Video Display Terminal. Extensive telephone and correspondence work required daily. For part of the shift, s/he will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers. May be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.

- Organize and supervise dealership accounting policies, procedures, and standards.
- Prepare, review, and distribute accurate and timely consolidated and stand-alone financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, dealership, and manufacturer standards.
- Present financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Assist upper management with the development of company-wide financial objectives and for profit and cost centers.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Support the creation of business plans, budgets, and various forecasts.
- Collaborate with other managers to support overall business objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Supervise annual financial statement audit, tax preparation, and any state, local, federal tax, or other audits.
- Establish and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard the Company’s assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
