**Job Summary**
The Quality/Site Safety and Health Manager is responsible for the overall quality and safety of the work performed. The applicant must be familiar with facility mechanical systems, electrical requirements, HVAC and related services associated with Camp Pendleton and other Southern California Sites. The Quality/SSHO Manager must display effective leadership and supervision of employees to achieve teamwork, cooperation, and results while monitoring efficiency, productivity, and fiscal responsibility.

The applicant must be familiar with facility mechanical systems, electrical requirements, HVAC and related services associated with Camp Pendleton and other Southern California Sites. The Quality/SSHO Manager must display effective leadership and supervision of employees to achieve teamwork, cooperation, and results while monitoring efficiency, productivity, and fiscal responsibility.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Knowledge of contractual requirements and creation of schedules.
- Ability to train new employees in safety requirements (PPE, AHAs, etc.).
- Ensure the requirements of 29 CFR 1926.16 are met for the project.
- Verify that processes are streamlined and repairs completed meet the quality requirements.
- Order PPE items through purchasing, and work with vendors to gain the best price possible.
- Perform any additional duties on an "as required" basis.
- Issue reports and summaries as required.
- Maintain appropriate records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes.
- Meet with clients and make onsite visit inspections for satisfactory job performance.
- Meet periodically with clients and on-site personnel to review the status of various elements of facility services, and to institute corrective measures for any deficiencies found.
- Attend pre-work meetings and produce job-specific APP and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
- Work as a member of the project team to ensure implementation and continuous monitoring and enforcement of the provisions of the project APP and AHAs.
- Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with all applicable OSHA and EM 385-1-1, and other applicable regulations, as well as meeting contractual quality requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, recording all violations and noting what remediation is needed to keep the project moving safely.
- Prepare comprehensive reports of safety/quality inspections and complete all related documentation and paperwork.
- Coordinate response to on-site emergencies and interface with off-site and on-site emergency response entities.
- Review and interpret task order specifications.
- Manage Submittals and Progress Schedules.
- Travel to multiple sites
- Bachelors degree preferred, High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 24 hours annually of continued Safety Training (for the past 4 years).
- OSHA 30-hour General Industry or Construction Certification (within the past 3 years), training will be offered if needed.
- The Quality Manager/SSHO will have 5+ years experience in Quality. The SSHO must meet the requirements of EM 385-1-1 Section 1.
- Must have taken the OSHA 30-hour construction safety class or equivalent within the last five years.
- Proficient with MS Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project). Possess outstanding written and oral communication skills and be willing to travel to various sites as needed.
- Must be able to pass DOD security clearance for base access.
- Must pass background check and drug screen to be considered for this position.
- Electrical experience is a plus.
- High school or equivalent.
- 5 Years as a Site Safety and Health Officer.
- 5 Years in Quality.
- EM 385-1-1 Section 1.
- Driver's License.
- 30 Hour OSHA Course - Within last 5 years.
- NAVFAC CQMC certification.
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED Training (preferred).

- Pay Range: $75,000 - $80,000 depend ng on experience
