Position Summary

Mission Advancement Objective

The Parent Life Administrative Specialist assists the ministry through establishing healthy systems and processes for sustainability and giving the Parent Life Director intentional focus on the RMA’s and special initiatives to expand the reach of teen parents.

Position Responsibilities And Purpose

This position involves the coordination of logistics around volunteer processes, administrative tasks, childcare implementation, event coordination, and developing systems to ensure that the Parent Life Director is equipped to engage teen parents in the mission of Parent Life.

30% – Administrative Support

  • General administrative support to the Parent Life Director
  • Help develop organizational systems for the administrative functions of the ministry
  • Assist in Planning Center tools and waiver implementation (registrations, check ins, smartwaiver, tracking systems, etc)
  • Provide clear, prompt, appropriate and professional communication

30% – Volunteer Development

  • Utilize personal network and community opportunities to recruit volunteers for the needs of the ministry
  • Aid in coordination, updating, tracking, and oversight of current volunteer systems, reports, and clearing processes
  • Oversee and coordinate childcare logistics for events

15% – Fund Development

  • This role includes financial support raising functions consistent with that of LCYFC. These opportunities involve fundraising events, monthly newsletter, circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, and other opportunities as provided.

15% – Ministry Advancement

  • Aid the Parent Life Director on initiatives, projects, etc
  • Attend Community Support Team meetings
  • Participate in RMAs as needed (Contacting, Programming, Appointments, etc)

10% – Event Support

  • Coordinate event setup and tear down logistics
  • Attend Parent Life events, community groups, programming, trips, etc
  • Create promotional materials (fliers, planning center registrations, social media posts)
  • Communicate with the Parent Life Director on necessary information for ministry promotional materials

Credentials Required & Preferred Education

  • High School or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Fundraising Responsibilities

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
