Description

The People Operations Generalist plays a key role in ensuring the success of HR functions. This role provides administrative, operational, and strategic support across multiple People Operations (POps) functions, including recruitment coordination, employee onboarding, HRIS maintenance, state and federal compliance, benefits administration, performance management, DE&I, and employee engagement.

Working cross-functionally with leadership, managers, employees, and the People Operations team, the Generalist helps to ensure compliance with our organization’s values, practices, and policies. This role will work within the People Operations team in Eugene, OR to support multiple locations within North America.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Coordination
  • Partner with hiring managers to coordinate and support recruitment.
  • Maintain accurate job postings and candidate progress in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Conduct initial phone screenings and assist with candidate evaluations.
  • Train and advise hiring teams on recruitment best practices including interviewing skills and bias reduction.
  • Review, audit, and help improve recruitment and hiring workflows for efficiency and compliance.

Onboarding & Offboarding
  • Onboard new employees, ensuring completion background checks, Form I-9, and other new hire documentation.
  • Coordinate first-day logistics, including IT setup, workspace preparation, and equipment shipments.
  • Deliver onboarding training and support new employees during the onboarding process.
  • Support offboarding activities including exit interviews, benefit transitions, and system deactivation.

Administration & Compliance
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and other systems with accuracy.
  • Support benefits administration tasks, such as tracking enrollments, auditing monthly benefits bills, updating employee demographics and plan types, and responding to basic employee inquiries.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating studio handbook, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support to the studio, including scheduling meetings, processing mail, and handling confidential documents.
  • Maintain and update the People Operations pages using MS Sharepoint.

Performance Management & Employee Relations
  • Assist with the administration and tracking of performance reviews, check-ins, and goal-setting cycles.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers navigating workplace questions and concerns while maintaining trust and confidentiality.

Employee Engagement & DEI Support
  • Assist in planning and coordinating employee engagement events, recognition programs, and studio-wide initiatives.
  • Support DE&I initiatives by assisting with event coordination, resource distribution, and communication efforts.
  • Help maintain an inclusive, supportive, and welcoming environment for employees.
  • Manage and promote employee wellness programs, including scheduling wellness-related events and campaigns, and identifying new opportunities for employee support and mental health resources.
  • Manage community outreach logistics, including coordinating studio tours, participating in local career events, and building relationships with local schools, colleges, and community organizations.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of progressive HR or People Operations experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR Information Systems/Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Nice to haves
  • Proficiency in Pinpoint and/or Oracle ATS and ADP
  • SHRM- CP or HRCI certification
