Job Description
This position is responsible for producing and developing models, drawings, and documentation utilizing specific software. Creates cut lists to maximize efficiency.

- Utilizes Autodesk Inventor to create models, drawings, finish schedules, bill of material, and cut lists.
- Creates CNC programs for projects with WoodWop.
- Utilize ILogic for file templates and parametric assemblies.
- Utilizes panel optimization software for takeoffs and beam saw cutting operations.
- Maintains drawings, files, and folders to department standards.
- Organize, track, and utilize team collaboration tools for multi-item orders.
- Knowledge of product configurations and product life management.
- In-depth knowledge and familiarity of all design and drafting standard practices, methods, and processes including a mindset for continuous improvement.
- Work from oral or written instructions, procedures, drawings, sketches, or self-generated ideas and/or ideas form other design and functional team members.
- Ability to recognize and recommend possible solutions for potential design and product configuration problems. Understands the degree of care and accuracy required on assignments and deters or corrects own errors as well as errors of others.
- Assist in the maintenance of Inventor Template, Material Library and Appearance Library files.
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods and tooling requirements.
- Understanding of mixed material designs: wood, metal, plastics
- Degree or 1 year experience as designer required
- Autodesk AutoCAD experience required
- 1-2 years Autodesk Inventor experience desired
- 1 year WoodWop CNC Software experience desired
- Experience with NetSuite a plus
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel (formulas and tables), Word)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid project management and problem-solving skills
- Effective time management skills
- Effective oral, written, and visual communication skills
