The Operations Training Supervisor develops, delivers, and evaluates training programs for operational staff, ensuring all activities meet organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role assesses training needs, implements effective solutions, and monitors program effectiveness to enhance workforce competency and operational excellence. Serving as the primary point of contact for operations training, the supervisor must demonstrate exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, along with strong administrative abilities, adaptability, and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all internal and external training related inquiries or requests.
  • Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees' training records and maintain employee files up to date
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs for operational staff to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Assess training needs through analysis of operational requirements, employee performance, and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Design and implement effective training solutions tailored to address identified gaps and support operational excellence.
  • Monitor and measure training effectiveness using appropriate metrics, feedback, and evaluation tools; make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all operations training matters, providing guidance and support to staff and management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices in the design and delivery of training.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation for compliance, reporting, and quality assurance purposes.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff and management, utilizing strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adapt training programs and delivery methods to meet the evolving needs of the organization and changes in operational procedures.
  • Manage multiple training projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in training methodologies, technologies, and operational best practices.
  • Prepare and present training reports and updates to management as required

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources,
  • The equivalent of 5+ work experience will be considered also.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in restaurant operations.
  • Proven experience in developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs, preferably in a hospitality operations environment
  • Experience conducting training needs assessments and implementing effective training solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.

Skills

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
  • Ability to analyze training effectiveness using metrics and feedback.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills to respond to changing operational needs.
  • Attention to detail in maintaining accurate training records and documentation.
  • Fluency in English, French, and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with a diverse team

Knowledge

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to operations training.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Awareness of current trends and innovations in training and operational excellence.
