PeaceHealth is seeking a Philanthropy Data Analyst. This remote role requires the incumbent work & reside in OR, WA and AK by date of hire.
The Philanthropy Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the foundations across PeaceHealth to achieve their major gift fundraising goals. Serves as the reporting and analytic coordinator throughout the philanthropy enterprise and is responsible for business and data analysis, query reports and dashboard development utilizing the donor database and data visualization tools. Responsible for planning, delivering, monitoring, and controlling activities related to achieving fundraising goals and setting future targets. Works closely to build data extracts for segmentation and pipeline development strategies and works with stakeholders to ensure data and reporting optimization and create data-driven efficiencies.

Serves as the reporting and analytic coordinator throughout the philanthropy enterprise and is responsible for business and data analysis, query reports and dashboard development utilizing the donor database and data visualization tools. Responsible for planning, delivering, monitoring, and controlling activities related to achieving fundraising goals and setting future targets. Works closely to build data extracts for segmentation and pipeline development strategies and works with stakeholders to ensure data and reporting optimization and create data-driven efficiencies.
What you will enjoy:
- Provides data extract, reporting and visualization delivery and support for day-to-day operations for the development and implementation of fundraising strategy.
- Works with front-line fundraising staff and leadership to anticipate reporting and data needs, and develop solutions, efficiencies and create pathways for non-reporting staff to engage effectively with data-based principals and information.
- Supports and participates in the organization’s data security structures acting as a gatekeeper for donor data. This includes planning, executing, monitoring and controlling activities related to the production of data exports and analytic usage for philanthropy across PeaceHealth.
- Leads the development team in the documentation of all processes and procedures related to reporting and analytics for the philanthropy enterprise. Ensures data integrity, consistency, and completeness in all reporting and analytic activities.
- Works with philanthropy leaders to develop the most effective reports and analytics for different audiences including direct fundraisers, clinical leaders, network/system executives and volunteers.
- Builds, develops and implements new data and analytic tools for data visualization, AI, grateful patient bridge database. This includes managing vendors and new technology platforms.
- Provides a high level of intersectionality with finance and other members of the operations team to ensure report accuracy and consistently.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business administration, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years Analytic experience to include experience with statistical methods of aggregation, averaging, etc., and business intelligence/query/reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, SQL, TSQL, Visual Basic, SSRS, and Microsoft Office analysis tools.
- Experience with retrieving and displaying data in usable formats that are actionable from a customer’s perspective.
- Experience facilitating complex projects and project specific discussions to caregivers with diverse professional backgrounds.
- In-depth knowledge of data base query principles and architecture
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to secure significant individual gifts with outstanding follow-through and stewardship of donors' investments.
- Demonstrated high activity level in the field, strong initiative, and self-motivation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills to work effectively with hospital staff, physicians and other medical professionals, donors, volunteers, and the public.
- Ability to initiate programmatic activities independently, organize/set priorities, and complete work in a timely manner despite deadlines and competing requirements.
- Ability and willingness to be a team player and to adapt to changing priorities.
- Understanding and ability to explain basic planned giving vehicles and opportunities.
- Ability to embrace the fundraising ethics of compassion and PeaceHealth Mission.
- Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Sedentary work.
- Predominantly operates in an office environment.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
