General Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Part-Time Clutch Crew member. This dynamic role will assist in bringing our beloved mascot to life, engaging with fans, and enhancing the overall fan experience. The ideal candidate will be energetic, approachable, and able to maintain high levels of enthusiasm while representing Clutch the Bear and the Houston Rockets organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES Include But Are Not Limited To

• Attend and perform at various events, including games, community appearances, and promotional activities
• Support the mascot and mascot assistant with skits, videos, props, logistics, wardrobe, and overall organization of in-game entertainment and community events.
• Assist with capturing high-quality photography and videography at events and Rockets
• games to enhance Clutch the Bear’s social media content.
• Act, entertain, and portray a variety of characters in live skits, video and community performances
• Assist with fan engagement (instruction, safety, hype, etc.)
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills under pressure, with a proactive sense of urgency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable performing in front of crowds
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Social media proficiency a plus
• Works well with children
• Flexible schedule
• Extensive knowledge of pop culture and the latest trends in music, news, and entertainment
• Possess a thorough understanding of basketball rules and game format
  
  

Physical & Mental Requirements

• The employee must be physically and mentally fit to perform and entertain throughout
• Houston’s different climates.
• The employee is regularly required to perform and communicate with others.
• The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
• The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• The employee must be approachable and have the ability to take constructive criticism to learn and grow.
